I’ve had acne problems since I was twelve, for eight years. I’m twenty now and its not nearly as bad as it once was but sometimes i have breakouts. I’ve been on every acne medication known to man, most of it worked to some extent but the majority of oral medications have dangerous side effects and I’m quite sick of the topical stuff, it makes my face so dry and I have heard it increases the risk of skin cancer.
So what can i do to get rid of this acne, Right now I’m just washing my face about four times a day and using clearasil cream every night, but its really messing up the skin on my face. I don’t have many acne problems when I use it, though. I’ve heard all the advice about acne like don’t touch your face, don’t eat greasy foods, etc. I’m doing all this stuff, but still having some problems. Is there a natural way to prevent this acne?

drink a lot of water, eat healthy foods, and keep your hands away from your face!! good luck =]

Does anyone know any homemade face masks or other home remedies for getting rid of pimples. i have some blackheads and some ingrown pimples but its not on all my face just my tzone which is the oiliest…any advice is appreciated.

U cant my dear… There is no home remedy or over the counter stuff that makes ure pimples go away… AVOID CHOCOLATE, COFFEE, CAFFEINE, and anything with high amount of sugar!!!! Only certain medications from your doctor can help… But, it is really bad for you and it can cause attitude change, depression, etc. My friend was on it… He was never the same again… I am serious… So, dont eat what I mentioned above!!! GL!

Addison, the biggie is sunscreen. Or maybe a hat. Stopping all tanning will work wonders down the road.

A good moisturizer applied daily, perhaps with a specialty eye creme which won’t irritate if it gets in your eyes, is all you need. I like Neutrogena’s “Moisture” line and use the sensitive skin products.

I got carded when I was 52. Something’s working.

Okay, so i’m looking for something natural that doesn’t have many chemicals in it so I can clear my face better using natural products. Is there anything natural that I could use everyday to wash my face? Something that actually works. I have combination/oily skin if that helps any.

1) Healthy skin come from good healthy eating habits, if you are not healthy, no matter what you do cosmetically you can’t look fresh and young. So include lots of fruits in your diet. Drink fresh juices. Eat protein rich and calcium rich diet

2)Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day as it will take out the toxic materials and make it look smooth

3) Try to fallow 5+ diet. That means 5 hand fulls of fresh vegetables or fruits to your everyday diet.

4) Moisturize it twice a day

5) Scrub your skin once in a week as that will take out the dead cells. But don’t forget to apply moisturizer after scrubbing

6) Give facial twice in a month. or at least apply face mask, you can make one at home by adding rose water and olive oil and a spoon of UN boiled milk. if you are buying face pack then add a E-vitamin capsule to it.

6) Don’t forget to apply night cream or olive oil before going to bed( if possible take the night cream in a bowl and heat it apply when t is warm ,as that will get evaporated easily into your skin)

7) Add a spoon of olive oil to your bath

i m 16 years old and i have pimples on my face. i cant use chemicals on my face necause my dad forbid me to. they just keep on growing and sometimes i cant help it when they itch.

but my sister is much worse. shes only 11 but she has more pimples on her face than me. she isnt allowed to use chemicals either. both of us need remedies that dont involve any Neutrogena or Clinique. please help.

Go out in the sun. It will dry them out a little bit. Use Apricot Facial Scrub in the shower. It’s just a natural face scrub…. like soap.

it says to have healthy skin you must cleanse, tone and moisturize, but my skin is different… when i do all three my skin breaks out really badly…now i just wash my face twice a day and moisturize and my skin doesn’t break out and is glowing… whats up with this?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any at-home remedies I could use to clear up all of the pimples on my face…any ideas?? I am looking for something easy that will be at-home and be able to clear up my pimples fairly quick.

This sounds extremely weird, but toothpaste works. If you wash your face with antibacterial soap, and use rubbing alcohol as an astringent and then you go to sleep with toothpaste directly on the pimple it should shrink or completely go away over night
